Kumar Saurabh Srivastava has been appointed as General Manager – Sales & Business Development at EFKON India Pvt. Ltd. (STRABAG Group). A seasoned Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Power Supply, and Infrastructure professional with two decades of experience, he will lead the company’s sales and business development initiatives, focusing on market expansion, strategic growth, and the adoption of new technologies across large-scale power, railway, metro, and highway infrastructure projects. His appointment reflects EFKON’s commitment to strengthening its leadership in critical infrastructure and transportation solutions.
Prior to this appointment, Kumar served as Deputy General Manager at EFKON India Pvt. Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in developing the new 2x25kV Power Supply Projects segment for Indian Railways. During his tenure with the STRABAG Group, he also contributed significantly to project execution, including playing a leading role in delivering the landmark Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) project and other metro infrastructure initiatives. His expertise spans business development, project management project execution, strategic planning, and the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects alongside leading high-performing teams and driving people development.
Earlier, Kumar spent over a decade with GE Vernova as Lead Turnkey Project Manager, where he led the execution of multiple Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission infrastructure projects of up to 765kV for central and state government utilities as well as reputed private sector clients, that have played a vital role in enhancing the reliability and capacity of India’s transmission system. He also held leadership positions at Alstom and AREVA T&D, managing large-scale EHV substation projects, and began his professional journey with Larsen & Toubro, where he was involved in planning and executing electrical EPC transmission, distribution and infrastructure projects across India.
With around 20 years of experience across project management, engineering, execution, planning, sales, and business development, Kumar brings deep expertise in large-scale power transmission and distribution, railway electrification, metro systems, and highway infrastructure sector projects. His appointment as General Manager – Sales & Business Development positions him to drive strategic growth, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand EFKON India’s presence in the rapidly evolving infrastructure and power sectors.
