Pratap Chandra Panda has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at IAC Electricals, bringing with him over two decades of extensive experience in human resource management, industrial relations, and organizational transformation. In his new role, based in Kolkata, he will spearhead HR strategy, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives across the company’s operations, further strengthening IAC Electricals’ people-first culture and strategic growth agenda.
Before joining IAC Electricals, Pratap served as Head HR at Thriveni EarthMovers Pvt. Ltd., where he led organization-wide HR initiatives, talent acquisition strategies, and change management programs. His earlier stint as Head of HR at Thriveni EarthMovers Pvt. Ltd. saw him leading plant HR operations, driving employee engagement, and enhancing industrial relations. His strong leadership helped align HR functions with long-term business objectives, ensuring workforce effectiveness and high performance across multiple operational sites.
Earlier, Pratap worked as Regional HR Head- Bhubaneswar at Kurlon Enterprise Limited, managing HR operations across two major manufacturing plants in Bhubaneswar. He successfully implemented recruitment strategies, statutory compliance frameworks, and industrial relations mechanisms, ensuring organizational efficiency and smooth coordination between management and workforce. His tenure at Misrilall Mines Private Limited as Manager – HR & Admin further enhanced his expertise in CSR activities, government liaison, and strategic HR planning, contributing to overall organizational excellence.
Prior to that, he held key HR leadership roles at FACOR(Now Vedanta Facor) as Assistant Manager – P&A, where he managed employee engagement, statutory compliance, and CSR initiatives across plant operations. His earlier experience as Deputy Manager – HR (Corporate) at PJ Minerals International Pvt. Ltd. added depth to his corporate HR capabilities, focusing on learning and development, HRIS, and employee relations. He also worked with SHYAM METALICS AND ENERGY LIMITED as Assistant Manager – HR & Administration, where he played a pivotal role in managing statutory compliances, employee welfare, and industrial relations in a manufacturing setup.
