Representing a new generation of leaders, his growth has been driven by clarity of vision and the ability to identify gaps within the corporate insurance space. With Protego Insure, he aims to simplify insurance by eliminating complexity and delivering transparent, customer-centric solutions, guided by his vision of “Nothing between the lines.”
Prior to this venture, Soumyajit built a strong foundation across leading organizations such as Novo Insure, Digit Insurance, and Reliance General Insurance. At Novo Insure, he served as National Sales Manager – Employee Benefits, leading a team of over 40 professionals and driving exponential growth across EB lines, achieving an impressive 800% growth in FY 2024–25. He also played a key role in expanding operations across multiple cities and implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance service efficiency.
During his tenure at Digit Insurance, Soumyajit headed the Bengaluru Agency Vertical for commercial lines, strengthening distribution and driving business growth. At Reliance General Insurance, he held multiple leadership roles, including City Head and Cluster Manager, where he built and scaled SME agency operations. Across these roles, he consistently demonstrated his ability to build teams, drive revenue, and create scalable business models in competitive markets.
Recognizing a critical gap in the corporate insurance ecosystem—complex processes and lack of transparency—Soumyajit founded Protego Insure to redefine how businesses approach risk and employee benefits. With deep expertise in B2B insurance, employee benefits, and corporate risk management, he is now focused on building a modern, tech-enabled insurance platform that prioritizes simplicity, clarity, and measurable value for clients.
