Gaurav Chaturvedi, a seasoned pharmaceutical leader with over 20 years of experience in business development and API sourcing, has joined Shilpa Pharma Life Science as Senior Vice President – API Business for the US, EU, and China markets. In this new role, he will focus on expanding global business operations, strengthening partnerships, and driving the company’s growth across key regulated markets.
Prior to this appointment, Gaurav served as Associate Vice President – API at Acebright Pharmaceuticals Group Co., Ltd. (now Cdymax), where he spent more than eight years leading business development for API generics and CDMO services across international markets. His work spanned portfolio building, strategy execution, and advancing projects in areas such as NCE-1, peptides, oligonucleotides, corticosteroids, and intermediates.
Gaurav has also been associated with reputed pharmaceutical organizations including Apotex India, Cadila, Orchid Pharma, and Ascent Chem, where he built deep expertise in sourcing, sales, and global business development. His entrepreneurial approach and ability to foster “win-win” collaborations with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders have been key to his success in scaling businesses across multiple geographies.
At Shilpa Pharma Life Science, Gaurav will play a pivotal role in leading API business strategy, strengthening CDMO opportunities, and supporting global clients in therapeutic areas such as oncology, antidiabetics, and cardiovascular drugs. His leadership is expected to significantly contribute to the company’s vision of advancing high-quality, affordable, and innovative pharmaceutical solutions worldwide.
