Santosh Shinde has been appointed as Senior General Manager – SCM Head at Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies, where he will lead end-to-end supply chain management for the company’s cell, battery pack, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing operations. In this strategic leadership role, he will be responsible for strengthening procurement, sourcing, and supplier management while supporting the company’s rapidly expanding advanced energy storage business.
Prior to joining Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies, Santosh served as Director – Supply Chain at TPI Composites, Inc., where he led procurement and supply chain operations with an annual spend of ₹1,200–1,500 crore across multiple production lines. He successfully drove localization initiatives that reduced import dependency, optimized inventory levels, managed global inbound and outbound logistics, and oversaw procurement for raw materials, CAPEX, OPEX, and critical services. He also led a cross-functional team spanning sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, and supplier management, delivering greater efficiency and supply chain resilience.
Earlier in his career, Santosh spent nearly a decade with Suzlon Group as Deputy General Manager – Head of Procurement, where he led strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, and procurement for large-scale manufacturing operations. He also played a key role in establishing greenfield manufacturing facilities across India and Brazil. His professional journey includes leadership roles in quality assurance at Kemrock Industries & Export Ltd., Suzlon Group, and TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd., where he gained extensive expertise in quality management systems, Six Sigma, supplier quality, production excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
With over 27 years of experience across supply chain management, procurement, strategic sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and operations, Santosh has built a strong reputation for driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and global supply chain transformation. His appointment at Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its supply chain capabilities as it scales next-generation battery and energy storage manufacturing.
