Harshad Makwana has taken on a strategic leadership role as the Purchase Head at Captavis Biocare Pvt. Ltd., marking an important chapter in his decade-long journey through India’s pharmaceutical supply chain landscape. In this new capacity, Harshad is tasked with overseeing procurement strategy, vendor management, and material planning to support Captavis Biocare’s expanding operations across India. His promotion in January 2025 is a testament to his expertise in procurement and logistics in highly regulated pharma environments.
Before his current appointment, Harshad served as Sr. Executive – PPMC at Captavis Biocare since April 2024, where he played a vital role in planning, procurement, and inventory control for critical raw materials and packaging supplies. His operational acumen and deep understanding of supply dynamics have been instrumental in streamlining internal processes and ensuring timely availability of materials at all stages of production.
Harshad’s professional experience includes a nearly four-year stint at Corona Remedies Pvt. Ltd., where he worked as Sr. Officer – RM/PM/FG Warehouse. There, he led warehouse operations, compliance with SOPs, and supported audits while managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of pharmaceutical materials. His time at Intas Pharmaceuticals, spanning over five years, further fortified his foundation in inventory management and pharmaceutical warehousing—from an entry-level Warehouse FTE to Warehouse Assistant.
With more than a decade of industry experience across Captavis Biocare Pvt. Ltd., Corona Remedies Pvt. Ltd., and Intas Pharmaceuticals, Harshad brings a combination of technical proficiency, hands-on warehouse management, and strategic procurement knowledge. His elevation to Purchase Head reflects Captavis Biocare’s continued focus on empowering in-house talent and aligning procurement strategies with the company’s growth goals.
