Ashmi Shah has taken on a pivotal role as Associate Director – People & Organisation Consulting at PwC India, marking a significant milestone in her two-decade-long career. Based in Mumbai and operating in a hybrid model, Ashmi brings with her a wealth of experience in HR transformation, business process improvement, and change management. Her appointment at PwC in November 2024 reflects the firm’s continued focus on deepening its consulting capabilities in human capital strategy and transformation.
Prior to joining PwC, Ashmi spent a decade with Trafigura, where she led global HR systems and served as the Workday Project Manager. In this strategic role, she spearheaded the global rollout of HR tech platforms, oversaw compensation and merit cycle management, and implemented organization-wide HR process automation initiatives. Her leadership played a critical role in transforming the company’s HR landscape and aligning it with modern digital capabilities.
Ashmi’s earlier experience includes tenures with leading global financial institutions such as MSCI Inc., Nomura, and Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd., where she held key roles in FP&A, revenue reporting, corporate finance, and manpower planning. From cost MIS and headcount forecasting to strategic financial planning, Ashmi’s cross-functional expertise in finance and HR has consistently enabled data-backed workforce decisions and operational excellence.
With over 17 years of proven impact across HR operations, transformation programs, financial planning, and systems integration, Ashmi is uniquely positioned to lead large-scale consulting mandates at PwC India.
