Anirban Mukherjee has been elevated to the role of Group Manager – Information Technology at Manipal Hospitals (MHEPL), one of India’s largest and most respected healthcare networks. Based in Bengaluru, Anirban will now oversee the strategic technology roadmap across the hospital group, with a focus on IT infrastructure modernization, digital healthcare integration, and operational scalability.

Anirban’s journey with Manipal Hospitals spans over a decade, where he has grown through several pivotal positions — from Manager to Chief Manager IT — before assuming his current leadership role. His previous responsibilities involved managing complex IT ecosystems, streamlining infrastructure support, leading data center operations, and ensuring robust vendor governance. His tech stewardship has been instrumental in deploying mobility applications, rolling out new infrastructure, and ensuring high-availability systems across multiple hospital locations.

Before joining Manipal Hospitals, Anirban held key roles in prestigious organizations such as Fortis Healthcare, where he headed IT for the Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon. There, he led the end-to-end setup of IT infrastructure from project initiation to execution, implemented critical healthcare systems including PACS and ICIP, and oversaw a team of 17 engineers during the hospital’s flagship launch. His early career also includes impactful stints at UEM India Pvt. Ltd. and as an independent IT consultant, focusing on data center management, cost optimization, and infrastructure planning.

In his new role, Anirban will be responsible for driving Manipal Hospitals’ digital health agenda — enhancing patient engagement platforms, optimizing cloud and cybersecurity practices, and scaling innovation through IT-driven care models. With over 15 years of proven expertise in healthcare IT, infrastructure architecture, and strategic planning, Anirban’s leadership is expected to fuel Manipal’s mission of delivering technology-powered, world-class healthcare.
