Sainath Saraban has stepped into a new creative chapter as the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Theblurr, a newly established creative agency based in Mumbai. His appointment, effective July 2025, marks a bold return to the Indian advertising landscape after years of leading successful independent creative ventures across global markets.
With over two decades of experience in building iconic campaigns and shaping brand narratives, Sainath brings an unmatched creative pedigree to Theblurr. Prior to this, he was the Co-Founder and Head of Creative at Studio Simple and Founder of Simple Creative Inc., leading cross-continental creative work between India and the United States. These ventures allowed him to work at the intersection of design, storytelling, and technology—an ethos that is expected to drive Theblurr’s creative direction.
Sainath’s illustrious agency background includes an impactful decade at Leo Burnett India, where he rose to the position of National Creative Director. He played a key role in transforming the agency’s creative profile and led award-winning campaigns across categories. Earlier, he also held senior leadership roles at JWT and McCann, where he shaped communication for some of India’s leading consumer brands during the 1990s and early 2000s.
A graduate in commerce from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Sainath’s creative journey began as a trainee copywriter at JWT in 1995. Since then, he has built a legacy of compelling storytelling that blends strategic insight with cultural relevance. Now, as CCO of Theblurr, he aims to build a next-generation agency rooted in creativity, innovation, and brand purpose.
