Rajeev Ranjan has joined Patna Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. as General Manager (Works), bringing with him an impressive track record of over 18 years in delivering large-scale metro, rail, and infrastructure projects across India and internationally. Since joining in December 2024, he has been overseeing the Phase 1 construction of the 32.5 km Patna Metro Rail Project, which includes 26 stations, 18 km of underground tunnels, and 14 km of elevated viaducts. As the Head of E&M, Traction, Track, and O&M for the project, Rajeev plays a pivotal role in end-to-end project monitoring, interfacing with regulatory bodies, and driving execution excellence for this INR 139.25 billion initiative funded by GoI, GoB, and JICA.
Prior to this, Rajeev served as Vice President at PRA India Pvt. Ltd. and Square One Associates, where he headed project management and business development for a diverse set of infrastructure projects including metro rail, highways, and urban infrastructure. In these roles, he managed projects for clients like RLDA, RVNL, DMRC, RITES, Indian Railways, and several key ministries and urban development authorities, playing a central role in business acquisition and technical delivery strategies.
Rajeev’s earlier roles include a successful tenure at Voyants Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as General Manager (Rail & Metro), where he led the execution of high-value PMC and GC contracts across India. With responsibilities spanning project planning, P&L management, and bid strategy, he was instrumental in delivering rail and metro infrastructure projects valued at over ₹7,000 crore. His global exposure includes key assignments in Qatar with QPM (Qatar Project Management) and a significant project stint in Doha managing tunneling and underground metro stations on the prestigious Gold Line project.
Having started his career with foundational roles at DMRC, CMRL, and BMRCL through engineering consultancies like RITES, CEC International, and Egis, Rajeev has built unmatched expertise in underground station construction, tunnel execution, and metro rail systems. His joining at Patna Metro marks a strategic milestone in the organization’s commitment to delivering world-class mass transit infrastructure for Bihar’s capital city, with Rajeev at the helm to ensure operational efficiency, quality assurance, and timely completion.
