Keshav Ruthiya has joined Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd. as the Chief Procurement Officer, marking a significant leadership addition to the company’s executive team. Bringing over two decades of global experience across procurement, strategy, and business management, Keshav’s appointment is poised to strengthen the company’s strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and global competitiveness. His new role, based in Mumbai, began in August 2025 and signals Laxmi Organic’s intent to deepen its leadership capabilities in chemical manufacturing and supply chain excellence.
Before joining Laxmi Organic, Keshav held a pivotal role as Director, Strategic Marketing, Petrochemicals Asia Pacific at BASF, Hong Kong. Over his nearly 20-year journey at BASF, he led high-impact strategic initiatives and managed multi-billion-dollar projects across Asia. Notably, he drove the end-to-end growth of the olefins business, established transformative JV partnerships, and delivered a structural shift in BASF’s China JV sales model—contributing over $700M in incremental annual revenue. His efforts earned him BASF’s highest global award in Business Excellence.
Keshav also spearheaded two large-scale investment projects: a $10B petrochemical complex in China and a $2B chemical facility in India. In both cases, he played a lead role in marketing strategy, stakeholder negotiation, feedstock contracts, and renewable energy planning. His ability to connect with more than 80 global customers and forge key supply chain agreements has positioned him as a highly influential leader in the chemical sector.
Earlier in his BASF career, Keshav served in Singapore as Director of Specialty Chemicals for ASEAN and Vice-Director of Procurement for Basic Chemicals and Energy Products. His track record includes turning around business operations, representing BASF on JV boards, leading regional procurement worth $800M, and enhancing operational models across Asia. Keshav began his professional journey as a Research Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, specializing in GTL process engineering and economics.
