Anirban Mitra has been elevated to the role of Vice President & Chief People Officer (CPO) at TCG Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., a leading global Contract Research and Manufacturing Services (CRAMS) organization headquartered in Kolkata. With a strong background in HR leadership and organizational transformation, Anirban brings over two decades of expertise in talent management, cultural development, and strategic human resources.
In his new role, Anirban will lead people practices across TCG Lifesciences’ operations in Kolkata and Hyderabad, overseeing a team of 17 professionals. His focus will be on reinforcing a strong alignment between business strategy and human capital development, fostering a culture of meritocracy, high performance, and learning agility. He is also driving initiatives around strategic hiring, leadership development, and employee engagement to build a future-ready and agile organization.
Anirban has been a part of TCG Lifesciences for over six years, where he has held multiple leadership positions — including AVP & Head of HR & Admin, and Head of HR & Admin. During this time, he played a key role in modernizing HR systems, implementing progressive policies, and enhancing the company’s people experience. His approach emphasizes a collaborative HR-business partnership model, designed to build organizational credibility and empower teams to deliver strategic excellence.
Before joining TCG Lifesciences, Anirban served as Divisional Head – HR at Vesuvius India, where he successfully led corporate HR practices across the country. His prior experience also includes a long tenure with Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he held multiple leadership roles including Associate Director – HR, managing global people functions for over 4,500 associates across geographies. He also worked with Tech Mahindra, Linde, Lafarge, and Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited, contributing to large-scale HR transformation, compensation structuring, and leadership development initiatives.
An alumnus of IISWBM, Calcutta University, Anirban is known for his expertise in building high-performance organizations through robust HR strategy, people-centric culture, and innovative talent programs. His elevation as CPO marks a strategic step by TCG Lifesciences to further strengthen its leadership framework and advance its people-first vision in the life sciences sector.
