Amit Gupta has been appointed as the Global Vice President – E-Commerce & Digital at Qnovate, marking a significant leadership move for the global consulting and technology firm. With over two decades of deep-rooted experience in enterprise e-commerce solutions, digital transformation, and global delivery leadership, Amit’s new role is set to amplify Qnovate’s strategic initiatives across digital commerce. He joined the company in July 2025 and is based in India.
Prior to this role, Amit served as Managing Director at VML Commerce for more than eight years. During his tenure, he played a transformative role in scaling the organization’s headcount from 100 to over 500, while establishing a global capability center known for delivering high-performance digital solutions. Under his leadership, VML executed complex, multi-regional enterprise e-commerce projects and launched robust digital transformation programs for Fortune 500 clients. He also built globally distributed delivery teams that helped shape VML’s international success story.
Amit’s journey in digital commerce started at Eperium Business Solutions, where he spent over 16 years. He initially joined as a Senior Software Engineer in the Netherlands, later rising to Managing Director of the India office. His impact was profound—he grew the team from a one-person setup into a 100+ member organization, delivering cutting-edge e-commerce architecture and multi-country rollouts for global brands. His deep understanding of platforms like Intershop and SAP helped establish Eperium as a trusted technology partner for clients worldwide.
