Shamshad Khan has joined Cohance Lifesciences as Assistant General Manager – Supply Chain, effective June 2025. Based in Hyderabad, he will oversee strategic supply chain operations, including demand and supply planning, inventory management, procurement, and digital transformation initiatives. His role will focus on strengthening operational efficiency, optimising resources, and ensuring seamless supply continuity across the organisation’s business verticals.
Shamshad brings with him nearly two decades of diverse experience in supply chain management, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Supply Chain Manager at Granules India Limited, where he managed supply and material planning across multiple production sites, optimised inventory levels, and successfully led the integration of SAP ERP with SmartEnt, enhancing end-to-end planning capabilities.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Gland Pharma, where he spearheaded the SAP S/4 HANA implementation for supply chain planning, and at Gracure Pharmaceuticals, where he managed supply planning, procurement, and operations excellence initiatives. During his tenure with Aurobindo Pharma and Mylan-Viatris, Shamshad played a key role in material planning, demand forecasting, and capacity utilisation, contributing to improved OTIF (On Time in Full) performance and sustainable operational improvements.
An alumnus of IIM Indore, Shamshad is known for his expertise in demand planning, material requirements planning, procurement, and digital transformation within supply chains. His appointment marks a significant step for Cohance Lifesciences in its mission to strengthen supply chain capabilities and drive operational excellence in the fast-evolving life sciences sector.
