Ajay Verma has been appointed as General Manager – Supply Chain at SGT University, bringing with him over three decades of extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and healthcare infrastructure support. In his current role, he will lead end-to-end supply chain operations, vendor management, and procurement strategies to strengthen operational efficiency and support the institution’s expanding healthcare and academic ecosystem.
In this capacity, Ajay will focus on streamlining procurement processes, enhancing vendor partnerships, and implementing cost-effective sourcing strategies. His mandate includes building resilient supply chain frameworks that ensure seamless availability of critical resources across hospital and academic operations, while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Prior to this, Ajay served as Deputy General Manager & Head Procurement at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences and held leadership roles at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences and Maharishi Markandeshwar University. Across these institutions, he managed large-scale procurement for multi-specialty hospitals and medical infrastructure, driving efficiency and operational excellence.
He also spent over five years earlier with SGT University as Head Procurement and held key roles at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Gen-X Diagnostics, further strengthening his expertise in healthcare supply chain management.
Ajay began his professional journey with the Indian Army’s Army Medical Corps, where he served for 17 years managing procurement and supply chain operations for premier defence hospitals. His diverse experience across defence and healthcare sectors positions him strongly to drive strategic supply chain transformation and support SGT University’s continued growth.
