Bikas Ghosh has been appointed as General Manager – HR & ES at Jindal Steel Ltd., where he will lead the Human Resources function for the Odisha BKT Division. In this leadership role, he will be responsible for driving HR strategy, employee relations, workforce optimization, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and people-focused initiatives aligned with business objectives. With over 18 years of experience across manufacturing, FMCG, retail, and supply chain environments, Ghosh brings extensive expertise in HR business partnering, industrial relations, workforce transformation, and strategic HR operations.
Prior to joining Jindal Steel Ltd., Ghosh served as HR Business Partner at Tata Steel, where he contributed to enterprise-level HR initiatives across Center of Excellence, Corporate & Commercial HRBP, and plant operations. During his tenure, he managed end-to-end HR strategy and operations for large employee groups, supporting annual business planning, productivity improvement, talent management, succession planning, compensation initiatives, HR digitalization, industrial relations, and organizational restructuring programs. His role involved partnering with leadership teams to strengthen workforce capability and drive sustainable business outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Ghosh worked as HR Head – Odisha Brewery at United Breweries Ltd., leading HR operations for manufacturing and sales operations while driving employee engagement, industrial relations, capability building, and workforce initiatives. Before that, he served as Factory HR Lead at Hindustan Unilever Limited, managing HR operations for the Haldia manufacturing facility and contributing to employee relations, workforce engagement, HR systems, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
Ghosh also held the position of Senior HR Executive – Corporate Office at Future Group India, where he managed HR operations across multiple locations and supported the development of HR systems and processes for supply chain operations. He began his professional journey as Plant HR Executive at EPCOS India, part of TDK EPC, handling manufacturing HR operations, recruitment, workforce management, employee relations, and HR administration.
