Suneel Jaiswal has been appointed as General Manager – Procurement (Middle East) at Sembcorp Industries Ltd, where he will spearhead international procurement operations for the renewable business verticals, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the Middle East region. In this leadership role, he will play a crucial part in driving Sembcorp’s mission of advancing clean energy and powering a sustainable future through strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and cost optimization initiatives.
With nearly two decades of expertise in procurement, contracts, and techno-commercial operations across India’s renewable energy sector, Suneel brings extensive experience in managing large-scale projects and fostering global supplier relationships. Prior to joining Sembcorp, he served at Adani Green Energy Ltd for over three years, where he held key positions such as Deputy General Manager and Senior Manager – Procurement & Contracts, leading major renewable and transmission projects with a focus on commercial and contractual excellence.
Before his tenure at Adani Green, he worked with Adani Group for almost six years, overseeing techno-commercial activities for renewable and battery storage solutions. His early career includes impactful roles at Welspun Energy Limited and Orange Renewable (now part of Greenko Group), where he was instrumental in managing procurement, project management, and contract negotiations for high-capacity solar and wind projects.
Suneel’s professional journey is rooted in strong technical and analytical acumen developed through his early association with Schneider Electric and his research-driven work under UNDP/GEF projects with the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. His well-rounded background combines deep technical expertise with strategic business insight, positioning him to drive Sembcorp’s procurement transformation in the Middle East.
