Rahul Sharma has been appointed as the General Manager at Schindler India. Based in Gurgaon, Rahul will be responsible for driving business excellence, sustainable growth, and operational efficiency across the region. In his new role, he will oversee sales, installation, service, and modernization operations while ensuring superior customer engagement and adherence to global safety, quality, and compliance standards. His appointment marks a significant step in Schindler’s vision of shaping urban mobility through smart, safe, and sustainable solutions.
Rahul brings with him over 17 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry, having held multiple leadership roles at KONE, where he spent more than 15 years. During his tenure, he successfully led branch operations with full P&L responsibility, strengthened customer relationships, and implemented strategies that elevated market share and profitability. As Branch Head and Deputy General Manager, he was instrumental in driving business transformation through operational excellence and high employee satisfaction.
Before becoming Branch Head, Rahul served as Senior Manager – Sales Business at KONE, where he spearheaded cross-functional coordination between finance, installation, and service teams to streamline operations. He developed strategic sales plans, identified new growth markets, and consistently achieved year-over-year revenue growth exceeding 20%. His leadership helped in improving customer satisfaction and building a strong brand presence across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects in North India.
Earlier in his career, Rahul served as Manager – Sales Business, where he focused on customer relationship management, market expansion, and leadership development. His hands-on approach in sales planning, pricing, and talent mentorship contributed to double-digit growth in branch performance. Prior to KONE, he worked with JMD Group and NKC Conveyor India Pvt. Ltd., gaining valuable technical experience in mechanical systems, electrical layouts, and project execution — a foundation that continues to inform his leadership in the engineering domain.
