Abhishek Maheshwari has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of OneAssist Consumer Solutions, where he now leads the company’s next phase of expansion, digital innovation, and AI-driven transformation. In this role, he is responsible for strengthening OneAssist’s position as a leading consumer services and protection platform while scaling its digital-first offerings across India. His mandate includes accelerating product innovation, enhancing customer experience, and building technology-led solutions that align with evolving consumer needs in a rapidly digitising ecosystem.
Before joining OneAssist, Abhishek served as Senior Advisor – Private Equity at Blackstone, where he supported portfolio strategy, value creation initiatives, and sector-level insights across technology, consumer, and digital businesses. This experience further deepened his strategic lens and sharpened his ability to drive scale, efficiency, and growth in high-potential consumer-facing organisations.
Previously, Abhishek held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Aakash Educational Services Limited, where he led the company’s omni-channel strategy across digital, hybrid, and classroom models. He was instrumental in expanding Aakash’s academic footprint, strengthening its digital capabilities, and driving robust, profitable growth for the group. His leadership helped the organisation scale both operationally and strategically during a period of rapid sectoral transformation.
Abhishek also spent over seven years at The Walt Disney Company, culminating in his appointment as the Country Head for India. During this time, he led Disney’s Media Networks, Theatricals, Consumer Products, Gaming, and Live Entertainment businesses while overseeing a 400+ member team across the country. His earlier roles at Disney included leading Media Networks & Interactive, Consumer Products, Corporate Strategy, and Business Development across India and SAARC, reflecting his deep expertise in brand-building, digital ecosystems, and diversified business operations.
His career foundation includes senior roles in strategy and private equity, including as Principal & Partner at Kubera Partners, where he led India-focused investments, and as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he executed high-impact strategy and operations projects across telecom, hi-tech, and industrial sectors in India, the US, and Europe. With a multifaceted career spanning consulting, private equity, media, education, and now consumer services, Abhishek Maheshwari brings a powerful blend of strategic insight, operational excellence, and innovation-driven leadership to OneAssist.
