Sukesh Manai has taken on the role of Deputy General Manager – Human Resources at Bangalore International Airport Ltd. In this position, he continues to shape strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, and people engagement for key airport operations and infrastructure functions. His focus remains on building an agile, future-ready workforce while strengthening the HR business partner model across mission-critical teams.
Prior to this role, Sukesh served as Assistant General Manager – Human Resources at Bangalore International Airport Ltd, where he led HR partnering for Engineering, Maintenance, and Projects functions. He played a pivotal role in developing and sustaining people processes aligned with operational excellence, safety standards, and large-scale infrastructure expansion goals.
Earlier, as Senior Manager – Human Resources at Bangalore International Airport Ltd, he managed HR responsibilities for airport operations and was instrumental in driving one of the organization’s pioneering diversity initiatives by supporting and enabling the induction of the Women Firefighting Team into the Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services. This program became a widely recognized milestone in advancing representation and breaking occupational stereotypes.
Sukesh began his HR career with Natural Textiles Pvt Ltd, where he handled core HR functions before joining the greenfield Bangalore Airport project in its foundational phase. Over nearly two decades with Bengaluru International Airport, he has contributed to system implementation, HR policy development, compensation frameworks, culture-building efforts, and people capability enhancement. His journey reflects deep commitment to organizational development and long-term workforce transformation.
