Shalom Christian has taken a significant step forward in his distinguished HR career with his appointment as Associate Vice President – Corporate HR at Arvind Limited, marking yet another milestone in his 13-year journey with the company. Based in Ahmedabad, Shalom’s promotion reflects not only his unwavering commitment to people-first leadership but also his deep-rooted influence on the organization’s transformation through strategic talent development and digital HR initiatives.
Since joining Arvind Limited, Shalom has steadily ascended the HR ladder—from Chief Manager to General Manager, and now to AVP—playing a pivotal role in shaping corporate HR policies, modernizing HR tech ecosystems, and leading talent management frameworks. His recent role as General Manager – People Capability, OD, HR Tech & Projects saw him spearhead digital implementations including Oracle HCM and Darwinbox, while also driving key performance and inclusion strategies.
Throughout his career, Shalom has worn multiple hats: presiding officer for POSH compliance across the group, certified coach and assessor in psychological profiling tools like Hogan and 16PF, and key architect of Arvind’s succession planning and competency frameworks. His HR leadership also extends to business HR responsibilities for the Voiles Division and corporate functions, where he has led initiatives on employee engagement, capability building, and leadership development.
Before joining Arvind, Shalom honed his expertise with roles at Texspin Bearings, IMS People Possible, and Havoc Consultants, gaining hands-on experience in talent advisory and recruitment. Today, as AVP, he brings a holistic approach to HR—blending operational excellence with strategic foresight—to further build Arvind’s reputation as an employer of choice and a future-ready organization.
