Pawan Sehrawat has been elevated to Assistant Vice President – Head of R&D at Sidwal, based in Faridabad, marking a defining milestone in his distinguished career within the HVAC and refrigeration engineering domain. This elevation reflects Sidwal’s continued focus on strengthening innovation-led leadership and advancing indigenous technology development across mobility, defence, and infrastructure segments. In his expanded mandate, Pawan will play a central role in shaping the company’s long-term R&D vision and reinforcing its position as a leader in advanced HVAC solutions.
In his new role, Pawan will lead the end-to-end research and development roadmap, with responsibility for conceptualisation, design, testing, and commercialisation of next-generation HVAC systems. His focus areas include rolling stock HVAC, defence-grade environmental control systems, bus air-conditioning, and specialised applications across high-performance mobility platforms. He will also drive initiatives around energy efficiency, system reliability, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle optimisation—ensuring Sidwal’s solutions meet evolving global standards and customer expectations.
Pawan’s elevation follows a strong and consistent growth journey within Sidwal Refrigeration Industries (an Amber Group company), where he most recently served as Senior General Manager & Head – R&D. In this role, he successfully led complex R&D programs, strengthened in-house engineering capabilities, and accelerated new product development cycles. His leadership has been instrumental in delivering robust, indigenous HVAC solutions tailored for demanding operational environments, reinforcing Sidwal’s reputation as a trusted OEM partner.
Beyond Sidwal, Pawan brings over two decades of rich cross-industry experience gained through impactful roles at Seaga India, Lloyd Electric & Engineering, Voltas (a Tata enterprise), Omax Autos Ltd., and SEMCO Forge Pvt. Ltd. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in the design and development of military-grade, railway, and commercial HVAC systems. His work has involved close collaboration with organisations such as DRDO, Indian Railways, and leading global OEMs, contributing to innovation that supports national manufacturing and self-reliance initiatives.
