Vishal Joshi appointed as Vice President – Procurement & Certification at PDRL, marking a significant milestone in his growth journey within the drone technology ecosystem. With a strong background in strategic management from IIM Kashipur and over 18 years of experience across business development, brand strategy, media, communication, and industry alliances, he brings a holistic leadership approach to one of India’s most innovative DroneTech organizations. His new role builds on his impactful tenure as Head – Training & Certification, where he played a key role in strengthening PDRL’s position as a leader in drone education and capability building.
Since joining PDRL, Vishal has been instrumental in scaling the company’s certification programs and advancing its AeroMegh platform—an end-to-end SaaS solution designed to transform drone data into actionable insights. He has championed the development of training frameworks aligned with India’s swiftly expanding drone ecosystem, ensuring professionals are equipped to meet emerging industry demands. Under his leadership, PDRL’s certification initiatives have helped bridge academia-industry skill gaps and prepare a future-ready drone workforce.
Before joining PDRL, Vishal built a distinguished 13-year career at ESDS Software Solution Limited as General Manager (Marketing, Branding, Events, Media & PR). During this period, he led strategic branding, media outreach, customer communication, and global marketing initiatives that contributed to ESDS’ rapid expansion across India, the UK, the US, and Canada. His earlier experience at Tata Communications further strengthened his expertise in channel sales and customer relationship management.
In his new mandate at PDRL, Vishal will oversee procurement strategy, certification governance, ecosystem partnerships, and capability development across the AeroMegh technology stack. With his blend of strategic vision, relationship-building excellence, and deep understanding of tech-driven industries, he is poised to contribute significantly to PDRL’s mission of shaping the future of DroneTech innovation.
