Vedprakash Ragate appointed as Chief Operating Officer – API at Megafine Pharma (P) Ltd., marking a significant leadership addition to the organization’s senior management team. With an exceptional career spanning over three decades across the global pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, he brings deep expertise in API manufacturing, large-scale operations, strategic transformation, and end-to-end supply excellence.
Before joining Megafine Pharma, Vedprakash served as Executive Director at Sequent Scientific Limited and Alivira Animal Health, where he played a pivotal role in steering operational performance, quality systems, capacity expansion, and multi-site efficiencies across the organization. His leadership contributed meaningfully to business continuity, regulatory readiness, and long-term operational strategy.
Prior to that, he was the Head of Operations at Solara Active Pharma Sciences, leading manufacturing operations, supply chain performance, compliance frameworks, and productivity programs across Solara’s API network. He also held the position of Vice President – Operations at Granules India Limited, where he spent more than six years driving large-scale operational transformations, capacity optimization, and technology-driven efficiency improvements across multiple facilities.
A major part of Vedprakash’s career was shaped during his 14+ year tenure at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he rose to the role of Director – TMO, managing technical operations, technology transfer, process excellence, and cross-functional program leadership across high-value API portfolios. Earlier in his career, he held production and operations roles at Gharda Chemicals, Casil Health Products, and United Phosphorus, giving him a strong foundation in plant engineering, chemical process operations, and large-volume manufacturing.
