Abhijit Thhombare appointed as Associate General Manager at Linde, bringing with him more than a decade of deep expertise in process safety, technical services, and large-scale chemical plant operations. Based in Navi Mumbai, he will play a critical role in strengthening Linde’s process safety framework and ensuring world-class safety standards across operations.
Abhijit joins Linde after a successful seven-year tenure with the Deepak Group, where he most recently served as Deputy Manager at the Dahej complex. In this role, he led multiple dimensions of Process Safety Management (PSM), technical services, and SAP PP-driven operational controls. His contributions were central to maintaining high-risk operational integrity and enabling seamless functioning within one of India’s most advanced phenol–acetone facilities.
Prior to this, Abhijit spent nearly six years at Finolex Industries Ltd., Ratnagiri, as a Senior Team Engineer, gaining extensive on-ground operational experience in polymer production, DCS operations, troubleshooting, and implementation of EMS/ISO 14001:2015 frameworks. His early responsibility for process safety and operational continuity laid the foundation for his later leadership roles in high-hazard industrial environments.
Across roles, Abhijit has been recognized for his hands-on technical depth, strong command over safety systems, and structured approach to risk mitigation. His work spans hazard analysis, safety audits, PSM implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational reliability and regulatory compliance.
At Linde, Abhijit will focus on elevating process safety systems, driving PSM excellence, and contributing to the organization’s long-term safety culture. His multidisciplinary experience positions him to support Linde’s commitment to operational integrity and sustainable industrial performance.
