At Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Sonam has been instrumental in designing and executing end-to-end training programs that encompass retail banking, sales, operations, compliance, behavioral skills, and audit-readiness. Her leadership in managing nationwide learning initiatives, vendor partnerships, and performance analytics has positioned her as a trusted enabler of capability transformation. Before assuming her current role, she served as Talent Development Manager at the same organization, contributing to strategic learning frameworks that supported the bank’s expansion and compliance goals.
Prior to joining Suryoday, Sonam held the position of Training Manager at IDFC FIRST Bank, where she spearheaded comprehensive learning initiatives, including on-the-job training, e-learning deployment, and behavioral skill development. Her tenure at Aditya Birla Capital further honed her expertise in training needs analysis, stakeholder management, and leadership development, ensuring that training interventions directly supported organizational goals and workforce readiness.
Earlier in her career, Sonam played a key role at Policybazaar.com, where she led nationwide virtual training initiatives, content management for learning platforms, and onboarding programs for new hires. Her foundation in financial services began with roles at Kotak Mahindra Bank as a Service Officer and at HDFC Bank as a Relationship Manager, giving her a strong understanding of banking operations and customer engagement—insights that now inform her L&D strategies in the BFSI sector.
