Suhayl Upadhyayaa has been elevated as General Manager at BKT Tires, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey with the company. Based out of Bhuj, Gujarat, Suhayl steps into the role with effect from June 2025, following an impactful tenure as Plant Operations Manager at the same location. His promotion reflects BKT’s continued commitment to recognizing and nurturing leadership from within its ranks.
With over two decades of diverse leadership experience, Suhayl has demonstrated expertise in plant operations, manufacturing excellence, and strategic project execution across some of India’s most reputed engineering and automotive companies. Prior to BKT Tires, he held the position of Plant Manager (Chief Operations Manager) at Exide Industries Limited in both Taloja and Bawal. His role was pivotal in managing end-to-end operations, driving plant modernization, and aligning manufacturing goals with business strategy.
Earlier in his career, Suhayl contributed to operational growth at Jamna Auto Industries Ltd., where he served as General Manager in Gwalior, and at Hindustan Motors Ltd. as Head – Vehicle Operations, overseeing large-scale vehicle assembly functions. His foundational years as a TPM Counselor at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) equipped him with critical skills in continuous improvement, lean methodologies, and plant efficiency optimization—competencies he has consistently leveraged throughout his career.
In his new capacity at BKT Tires, Suhayl will spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, sustainability, and capacity expansion. His proven ability to build high-performing teams and deliver consistent results makes him a key asset in BKT’s growth story, particularly as the company strengthens its global footprint in the off-highway tire segment.
