Yogesh Somani has joined K Hospitality Corp as Head – Group HR in September 2025, taking charge of driving the group’s human resources strategy across its diverse hospitality businesses. Based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, his new role will see him leading HR transformation, culture building, and talent development to strengthen the people agenda at one of India’s leading hospitality conglomerates.
Before moving to K Hospitality Corp, Yogesh Somani served as AVP & Head HR at MR DIY India for three years. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping HR operations for the rapidly growing retail chain, spearheading initiatives in ESG governance, employee engagement, cost optimization, and diversity. His achievements at MR DIY India included reducing attrition rates, boosting employee satisfaction scores, implementing ESG governance charters, and increasing female workforce participation across store operations.
Earlier, Yogesh Somani spent over four years at Infiniti Retail Limited, a Tata Enterprise (Croma), as Lead – Regional HR BP, where he oversaw HR operations for West India covering more than 100 large-format stores, warehouses, and 2,500+ employees. His initiatives in launching India’s first all-women “PINK Store,” driving HR analytics, and strengthening diversity and inclusion earned recognition across the Tata Group ecosystem. He was instrumental in opening over 50 new stores without compliance lapses, reinforcing Croma’s retail growth momentum.
His career also spans leadership positions at Arvind Fashions Limited as Head – Retail Training, where he managed a large-scale retail training ecosystem for 15 brands and 5,000 employees, and at Gitanjali Group, where he served as HR Manager for its diverse businesses spanning gems, jewellery, retail, and real estate. Additionally, he spent over five years as Regional HR Manager at Arvind Lifestyle Brands, contributing to the successful market entry of international brands like GAP, Sephora, and Ed Hardy, while helping the organization earn a “Great Place to Work” certification.
With a strong foundation in HR leadership, talent management, and organizational development, Yogesh Somani’s appointment at K Hospitality Corp marks a strategic step for the group in building a future-ready workforce. His extensive experience across MR DIY India, Infiniti Retail Limited (Croma), Arvind Fashions Limited, Gitanjali Group, and Arvind Lifestyle Brands underscores his ability to align HR strategy with business transformation.
