Vikram Sakhuja has been elected as the new Chairman of the Media Research Users Council (MRUC), a premier industry body dedicated to advancing media research standards and practices in India. Vikram brings decades of experience in media, marketing, and strategic leadership to this role, promising a forward-looking vision for MRUC.
Vikram has been a pivotal part of Madison World for over a decade, serving as a senior leader and shaping strategic initiatives across advertising and media operations. His tenure at Madison World, spanning from October 2015 to August 2025, has been marked by growth, innovation, and strengthened client partnerships across multiple markets.
Prior to Madison, Vikram held global and regional leadership roles with GroupM and Maxus, including Global Strategic Development Officer and CEO South Asia, where he led transformative strategies and expanded the organizations’ footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. He also served in senior roles at Mindshare and Star TV, driving marketing, brand development, and media operations for leading networks.
Vikram’s career also includes key leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company and Procter & Gamble, where he managed media, market research, and brand management functions. His broad-based experience spanning FMCG, media, and digital marketing positions him uniquely to guide MRUC in strengthening research standards and supporting data-driven insights for India’s evolving media landscape.
With his election, Vikram Sakhuja is set to steer MRUC toward greater collaboration, innovation, and adoption of best-in-class media research practices, enhancing transparency and effectiveness in the Indian media industry.
