Ruben D’Silva has been elevated to the role of Deputy General Manager – Operations (Complaints and Resolutions) at the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), a self-regulatory organization that upholds responsible advertising practices across India’s dynamic media landscape. Based in Mumbai, Ruben will lead operational excellence initiatives and continue to strengthen ASCI’s mission of ensuring transparency and accountability in advertising.
Ruben joined ASCI in 2022 as Senior Manager – Operations (Complaints and Resolutions), where he played a crucial role in streamlining complaint-handling processes and enhancing the efficiency of resolution mechanisms. His contributions helped drive ASCI’s strategic objectives of protecting consumer interests and fostering ethical advertising standards. Over the past three years, Ruben’s leadership and commitment have been instrumental in improving turnaround times, process automation, and stakeholder communication within the organization.
Prior to joining ASCI, Ruben brought with him over a decade of rich experience in the banking and background verification sectors. At IDFC FIRST Bank, he served as a Senior Manager, where he was responsible for driving operational strategies to enhance customer experience and compliance. Before that, during his tenure with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Ruben managed critical operational functions and customer service processes, further honing his expertise in risk assessment and client engagement.
Earlier in his career, Ruben was associated with Sterling Talent Solutions, where he led verification operations for seven years. His deep understanding of process optimization and people management laid the foundation for his leadership trajectory in subsequent roles.
An alumnus of K.J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, Ruben’s journey reflects a steady progression through diverse industries, unified by his focus on operational excellence, compliance, and customer trust.
