Mubin Syed has taken on the role of Senior Manager – Tax at Sentient, An Ascend Company, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in US tax compliance, consulting, and strategic planning. With over 15 years of experience in taxation, wealth management, and financial consulting, Mubin brings a deep understanding of complex tax landscapes, particularly for high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), trusts, partnerships, and S-Corporations.
Mubin’s journey with Sentient began in 2023 as Tax Manager, where he worked extensively on individual income tax, 1040 HNI returns, and business tax planning. His promotion to Senior Manager reflects his consistent track record of delivering precise tax solutions, optimising client outcomes, and ensuring compliance with evolving US tax regulations. His ability to combine strategic foresight with operational efficiency has made him an asset to both clients and colleagues.
Prior to joining Sentient, Mubin served as Tax Manager at KHCPA Consultancy Private Ltd and spent nearly nine years at Deloitte, where he specialised in high-value individual tax compliance, wealth planning, and corporate tax structures. Earlier in his career, he contributed to Cognizant Technology Solutions, working with UBS Wealth Management under IRS regulations, and began his professional journey as a Research Analyst at Networth Stock Broking Ltd, analysing market trends and financial data to inform investment strategies.
Holding an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Sri Indu College of Engineering & Technology, Mubin combines academic rigour with hands-on industry experience. In his new role, he will continue to help clients navigate intricate tax structures while driving strategic growth for Sentient’s tax practice.
