Gaurav Mandan has been appointed as Assistant Vice President at EXL. Based in Delhi, Gaurav brings over eight years of multifaceted experience spanning HR transformation, AI integration, and organizational strategy. In his new role, he will lead strategic initiatives to align human resources with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling smarter decision-making and operational excellence across the organization.
Before joining EXL, Gaurav spent more than eight years at Tata Communications, where he played a pivotal role in driving HR innovation. As Product Manager – HR Transformation, he implemented AI-powered talent management strategies that transformed the company’s recruitment, retention, and internal mobility framework. His work in leveraging data analytics provided actionable insights that strengthened employee engagement and organizational agility.
In his role as Future of Work Lead (Deputy General Manager), Gaurav redefined workplace culture through hybrid work models and by incorporating gig and freelance talent into the company’s workforce ecosystem. His initiatives supported the organization’s shift toward digital agility, flexible work environments, and future-ready talent strategies.
Earlier, as Executive Assistant to the CHRO, he contributed to strategic HR planning and leadership alignment, ensuring that the HR function operated as a key enabler of business growth. His hands-on experience in managing complex change and fostering cross-functional collaboration made him an invaluable asset to the leadership team.
A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Gaurav also led the Hult Prize Foundation initiative on campus, encouraging sustainable social entrepreneurship among students. His blend of innovation, analytical rigor, and people-centric leadership positions him to drive the next phase of HR evolution at EXL.
