Bipin Kumar Senapati has assumed the role of Assistant General Manager – Safety at Laurus Labs Limited, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. Based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Bipin now leads central Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) activities for the company, drawing upon nearly two decades of extensive experience in industrial safety and chemical operations.
A dedicated safety professional, Bipin has been an integral part of Laurus Labs Limited for over seven years, having held progressive roles including Senior Manager and Manager – Safety. His leadership has been instrumental in driving behavioral safety programs, conducting hazard analyses, and implementing robust EHS frameworks across manufacturing operations. Under his guidance, Laurus Labs has continuously enhanced its safety standards, risk mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to his tenure at Laurus, Bipin contributed significantly to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led a safety team at CTO-05 in Miryalaguda and reported directly to the EHS head. He began his industrial safety journey at Asian Paints, serving in both safety and production capacities, and later expanded his domain expertise at Goodlass Nerolac Paints Ltd. His hands-on experience across sectors like paints, pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemicals has given him a well-rounded perspective in environmental safety, accident investigation, and regulatory adherence.
Academically, Bipin is highly qualified, holding an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from BITS Pilani and multiple diplomas in industrial safety from renowned institutions including Annamalai University and State Technical Board of Education. He also holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Sambalpur University, complementing his technical and scientific foundation. His certifications in safe handling of hazardous chemicals, lockout-tagout procedures, and behavior-based safety further reflect his commitment to high-impact safety practices.
