Kanagaraj K has been elevated to Assistant General Manager – Quality at Steel Strips Wheels Limited. In his new role, he will be heading the quality function for the commercial vehicle (CV) segment at the company’s Chennai facility, driving excellence across manufacturing, product inspection, and process improvement. His promotion marks a continuation of his long and dedicated service with Steel Strips Wheels Limited, where he has been instrumental in quality management for several years.
Kanagaraj has been associated with Steel Strips Wheels Limited for over seven years, previously serving as Senior Quality Manager, where he led initiatives in process audits, supplier quality, and product development. Before rejoining the company, he worked with TATA Ficosa Automotive Systems Ltd. as Deputy Manager, leading the quality department at the Chennai plant, ensuring adherence to automotive quality standards and client specifications.
Earlier in his career, he held key positions in quality management at ASIA Motor Works (AMW Motors Ltd.), where he was responsible for ISO/IEC 17025 – NABL accreditation, warranty analysis, and customer satisfaction improvement. He also served at TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, managing calibration, inspection, and CMM programming for machined components.
