Tuhin Banerjee has been appointed as Senior Manager at Sun Pharma, one of India’s largest and most respected pharmaceutical companies. With over 13 years of experience in digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, and operations leadership, Tuhin’s appointment marks a significant step in Sun Pharma’s continued journey toward digital innovation and operational agility. Based in Mumbai, he will play a strategic role in driving technology-led improvements and enhancing business processes across the organization.
Prior to joining Sun Pharma, Tuhin served at Cipla for over three years, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Manager – Digital Transformation and Manager – Digitalization. During his tenure, he led numerous digital strategy initiatives, integrating automation and data-driven solutions across manufacturing units. His leadership in implementing site-level digital projects helped enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance, contributing significantly to Cipla’s transformation roadmap.
Earlier in his career, Tuhin had a long and successful stint with Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he spent more than six years in diverse roles—from Senior Executive to Assistant Manager. His expertise in Packaging Operations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and MES Core Team projects played a key role in optimizing operational workflows and ensuring high-quality standards. His contributions were integral to streamlining core production processes and implementing system-based controls.
Tuhin began his professional journey with Piramal Group and Cipla, gaining hands-on experience in shop-floor management, packaging operations, and process improvement. His early career foundation across multiple reputed pharma giants shaped his deep understanding of manufacturing excellence and digital enablement.
In his new role at Sun Pharma, Tuhin is expected to focus on digital transformation initiatives, process modernization, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the company’s operational ecosystem.
