Uttam Routh has been appointed as Director – Human Resources, India at Trouw Nutrition South Asia, a global leader in animal nutrition and feed solutions. In his new role, Uttam will spearhead the HR strategy for Trouw Nutrition’s India operations, focusing on people development, organizational transformation, and talent alignment with the company’s long-term growth objectives. Based in Hyderabad, he will play a key role in strengthening Trouw’s culture of innovation, performance, and sustainability as the organization continues to expand its footprint across South Asia.
With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Uttam brings deep expertise in strategic HR leadership, organizational design, and people engagement across multiple industries. Prior to joining Trouw Nutrition, he served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources at SunSource Energy, where he played a pivotal role in building scalable HR frameworks, driving leadership development programs, and supporting the company’s rapid expansion in renewable energy. His leadership approach emphasized creating an agile, value-driven workplace aligned with evolving business needs.
Earlier, Uttam spent over 26 years with SUPERGAS (SHV Energy India), where he grew through multiple roles to become Director – Human Resources. At SUPERGAS, he led initiatives that transformed the company’s HR architecture, from talent management and capability building to employee engagement and succession planning. His journey from technical and operational roles to HR leadership demonstrates his deep understanding of both people and process — a combination that has consistently powered organizational excellence.
Before his long and impactful tenure at SUPERGAS, Uttam gained valuable early-career experience with Vadilal Chemicals Limited and Hindustan Packaging Co. Ltd., where he developed a foundation in operations, project management, and organizational efficiency.
