Ramayanam Peddanna has been appointed as Chief Business Officer & Senior Vice President at Adani Power, bringing nearly three decades of leadership experience in the power sector. In his new role, he will drive business strategy, operational excellence, asset performance, and long-term value creation while supporting Adani Power’s growth and transformation agenda.
Prior to joining Adani Power, Ramayanam held several senior leadership positions at JSW Energy, most recently serving as Head of Strategy, Planning and Performance, where he led strategy for a 4×800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power project and performance management for a 5.65 GW portfolio. He also served as Head of Plant at Utkal and Ratnagiri, while holding key board positions including Managing Director & Director at Jaigad Power Transco Limited and Director at JSW Energy Utkal Limited.
Over the course of his career, he has successfully led large-scale thermal power projects spanning engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, project execution, and business strategy. His expertise includes revival of stressed assets, ERP implementation, FGD execution, fuel and cost optimization, bulk ash export systems, and operational transformation across major power generation facilities.
With extensive experience in power generation, strategic planning, project management, and operational leadership, Ramayanam’s appointment reinforces Adani Power’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and innovation across its expanding power portfolio.
