Srikant Nair has been appointed as Business Head – Gold Loan at L&T Finance, marking another significant milestone in his distinguished journey across the banking and financial services industry. In this leadership role, he will drive growth, portfolio expansion, operational governance, and business strategy for the company’s Gold Loan vertical. With nearly two decades of experience across leading financial institutions, Srikant brings deep expertise in retail lending, branch expansion, customer acquisition, and large-scale business operations.
Prior to joining L&T Finance, Srikant served as Zonal Head – Gold Loan at Bajaj Finserv, where he led Gold Loan operations across key zones with a strong focus on AUM growth, branch productivity, governance, and regional expansion across South and East India. Earlier, he spent over 11 years with Muthoot Fincorp Ltd., holding multiple leadership roles including Senior Regional Manager and Zonal Manager, building extensive expertise in the Gold Loan business and leading operations across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and other regions. His professional journey also includes impactful roles at Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Angel Broking, and Mangal Keshav Securities Ltd., strengthening his leadership across retail banking, lending, payments, and financial services.
Throughout his career, Srikant has demonstrated strong capabilities in strategic planning, business development, market expansion, sales leadership, and operational excellence. He has successfully led large regional teams, driven branch network expansion, and delivered sustainable growth across competitive markets. His ability to combine business strategy with customer-centric execution has consistently contributed to organizational growth and market leadership in the financial services sector.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Srikant is also known for his passion towards motorcycling and fitness. A passionate rider, he has covered more than 20 states across India through his motorcycling journeys, reflecting his spirit of endurance, exploration, and discipline. He is also a marathoner and fitness enthusiast, bringing the same determination and resilience from his personal pursuits into his professional leadership approach. His appointment at L&T Finance is expected to further strengthen the company’s Gold Loan business and growth trajectory.
