Akhyay Chatterjee has been elevated to Associate Vice President – Sales at Hetero Healthcare Limited, based in Mumbai. The promotion recognizes his consistent performance and leadership across multiple business roles within the organization, where he previously served as General Manager driving business development, budgeting, and sales growth initiatives.
In his new role as AVP – Sales, Akhyay will lead strategic sales execution, strengthen market penetration, and enhance customer engagement across key therapeutic segments. His experience in managing large teams and high-value stakeholders positions him to further scale the company’s commercial footprint and improve operational performance in competitive healthcare markets.
Prior to Hetero Healthcare, Akhyay served as National Sales Manager at Akumentis Healthcare Ltd, where he led the Critical Care division and managed a large national team including sales managers, district managers, and key account managers. Earlier, as Zonal Head at Baxter Pharmaceuticals India Pvt Ltd, he oversaw regional operations across multiple states with a focus on anesthesia and anti-infective portfolios.
Akhyay’s career journey also includes leadership roles at Ipca Laboratories and Alkem Laboratories Ltd, where he steadily progressed from Business Executive to Regional Business Manager and played a key role in product launches and regional expansion. With over two decades in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, he brings deep market understanding and team leadership expertise to his expanded responsibilities.
