Shruti Chaubey has stepped into the role of Deputy Vice President – Commercial Lines Underwriter at Prudent Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd, marking an important milestone in her underwriting career. In this capacity, she will support the organisation’s commercial lines portfolio by leading risk evaluation, strengthening underwriting governance, and enabling tailored insurance solutions for corporate clients across diverse industries.
Shruti’s journey at Prudent began in 2023, where she served as Senior Manager – Commercial Lines Underwriter. During this period, she contributed to expanding the commercial underwriting practice, improved portfolio quality through robust risk assessment frameworks, and collaborated closely with business development teams to deliver client-centric insurance propositions.
Before joining Prudent, Shruti built her foundational expertise at Zoom Insurance Brokers, progressing from Assistant Manager to Manager – Non-EB Underwriter over nearly five years. Her role involved assessing non-employee benefits risks, managing key accounts, and mentoring teams—experiences that shaped her operational depth and leadership capabilities in the brokerage ecosystem.
She began her career at Optima Insurance Brokers as a Senior Operations Executive, where she gained hands-on exposure to policy administration, client servicing, and back-office operations. An early internship with HDFC Bank added to her understanding of financial services and strengthened her analytical and customer-centric approach.
With nearly a decade of experience across underwriting and operations, Shruti brings a well-rounded perspective to her new role. As Deputy Vice President, she is positioned to play a critical role in driving Prudent’s commercial lines growth and enhancing the organisation’s technical underwriting strength.
