Praveen Kommana, Ph.D., elevated to Assistant Vice President at Laurus Labs limited , marking the latest milestone in a distinguished 19-year career with the organisation. Based in Winchester, England, he now plays a pivotal role in driving business development initiatives, strengthening strategic partnerships, and expanding Laurus Labs’ global footprint across key markets.
Over nearly two decades, Dr. Kommana has grown through a series of leadership roles within Laurus Labs, contributing significantly to the company’s evolution. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Business Development, where he led strategic alliances, nurtured high-value customer relationships, and supported the organisation’s growth across international geographies. His earlier tenure as Director and Associate Director of Business Development further strengthened his expertise in identifying opportunities, shaping long-term collaborations, and aligning scientific capabilities with market needs.
Before taking on business development leadership roles, Dr. Kommana worked across project management and research functions, including as Senior Manager – Project Management and earlier as a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist in Process R&D. These experiences gave him deep insights into drug development, process optimisation, and scientific innovation—expertise that continues to complement his business development responsibilities.
