Shravan Reddy J has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer – CDMO at Cohance Lifesciences, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. In this new leadership role, he will be spearheading Cohance’s Contract Development and Manufacturing Operations (CDMO) business, driving operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth across all facilities. His strategic focus will be on optimizing processes, enhancing quality systems, and accelerating global delivery capabilities to strengthen the company’s footprint in the life sciences industry.
Prior to this appointment, Shravan served as API Operations Head at Sun Pharma, where he led large-scale manufacturing operations and implemented key initiatives to improve production efficiency, compliance, and supply reliability. His strong leadership and ability to align operational strategy with organizational goals helped elevate Sun Pharma’s API division to higher standards of performance and competitiveness in the global market.
Earlier in his career, Shravan held the role of API Manufacturing Head at Granules India Limited, where he was responsible for overseeing end-to-end API manufacturing, process optimization, and plant performance. Before that, he served as Vice President – Operations (Cluster Head) at Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in managing multiple manufacturing clusters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving productivity improvements across sites. His tenure at Biocon Limited as Head of Operations – Vishakapatnam further showcased his ability to scale up greenfield operations and lead cross-functional teams in delivering operational excellence.
Shravan’s extensive experience also includes serving as Vice President – Operations at Piramal Pharma Solutions, where he managed complex manufacturing networks and championed continuous improvement initiatives. He spent a major part of his career—over 18 years—with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, holding several leadership positions such as Director & Location Head (CTO3, CTO5, CTOSEZ, CTO1), Associate Director – Operations Head, Senior Manager – Production Head (CTO-2), and Delivery Manager – Project Management. Beginning his journey in the Technical Services Department at Dr. Reddy’s, Shravan built a strong foundation in process engineering, quality management, and operational transformation.
