Arijit Das has joined Bandhan Life as Assistant Vice President, based in Mumbai. In his new role, he will be responsible for underwriting, risk management, and control, contributing to the company’s mission of delivering robust and customer-centric life insurance solutions.
Arijit brings over a decade of rich experience in life insurance underwriting and risk operations. Before this, he was with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, where he served for more than four years, most recently as Senior Manager II, leading a team of 20 underwriters and managing the entire partnership distribution from the underwriting side, including key platforms like PolicyBazaar.
Prior to that, he held key roles at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Ageas Federal Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Limited, and Kotak Life, where he honed his expertise in medical underwriting, risk assessment, and operational audits.
He began his career with Abbott as a Therapy Business Manager, gaining valuable experience in the healthcare domain before transitioning into insurance underwriting. His diverse background across leading life insurance companies makes him a seasoned professional in risk and underwriting management.
