Amar Bhartia has been appointed as the Global Product Head at TransBnk – Transaction Banking Platform, effective October 2025. In his new leadership role, Amar will spearhead the company’s global product vision, overseeing the development, management, and execution of all transaction banking solutions offered by TransBnk. Based in Mumbai, he will focus on enhancing product innovation, client experience, and operational scalability while driving the firm’s mission to transform transaction banking with cutting-edge digital capabilities and seamless global integration.
Before joining TransBnk, Amar had a remarkable tenure at Deutsche Bank spanning over six years. He most recently served as the Head of Business Product & Business Governance – Merchant Solutions, APAC, where he successfully led expansion initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. His leadership focused on strengthening payment ecosystems, optimizing partner management, and ensuring robust business governance. Earlier at Deutsche Bank, Amar held the roles of Regional Expansion Lead (Merchant Solutions, APAC) and Vice President – Cash Management Product (India), where he played a crucial role in designing innovative digital payment products, building client-centric solutions, and contributing to the bank’s regional growth strategy.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Amar was associated with YES Bank for over two years, where he served as Senior Vice President and later as Vice President in the Transaction Banking Group (TBG-CMS Product). At YES Bank, he was instrumental in developing product frameworks for corporate cash management and digital payment solutions. His earlier stint with IndusInd Bank as Assistant Vice President 2 added further depth to his expertise in cash management services, electronic payment structures, and end-to-end corporate payment systems. Before this, Amar spent nearly five years with YES Bank in progressive leadership roles including Assistant Vice President and Senior Manager, where he drove new product development, deal structuring, and business model design across multiple cash management verticals.
Amar’s professional journey began with JPMorgan Chase, where he gained early exposure to global banking operations as a Team Member. He also completed a summer internship at Singhi Advisors, analyzing M&A activities within the FMCG sector and developing comparative insights into industry dynamics. During his academic tenure at NMIMS, Amar served as a Student and Placement Coordinator, where he led the placement of over 800 students and strengthened industry-academia engagement—a reflection of his strong leadership and organizational acumen from an early stage.
With an illustrious career spanning over 17 years, Amar brings extensive experience across global banking, payments, and digital product innovation. His journey through organizations like Deutsche Bank, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, and JPMorgan Chase showcases his deep understanding of financial ecosystems, customer engagement, and strategic product management.
