Prachi Satapathy has taken on a new role as Associate Vice President – Liquidity Risk & Business Analysis at HSBC, marking a significant milestone in her impressive career in financial risk management and business analysis. Based in Bengaluru, Prachi will play a pivotal role in strengthening HSBC’s liquidity risk frameworks and analytical processes, contributing to the bank’s robust global financial operations.

Prior to joining HSBC, Prachi spent over four years at EY (Ernst & Young), where she advanced to the position of Manager. At EY, she honed her skills in business development, analytical strategy, and financial risk consulting—helping major clients optimize operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency through data-led insights. Her role as Senior Consultant at EY showcased her ability to lead complex projects with precision and cross-functional collaboration.

Before her tenure at EY, Prachi made significant contributions to Standard Chartered Bank, where she served for over six years in multiple roles, including Business Analyst and Specialist. There, she led critical liquidity reporting initiatives such as LCR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio) and Cash Flow Mismatch Reporting under Basel III and PRA mandates. Her work with ALM, finance, and project management teams demonstrated her strong grasp of financial systems, automation, and regulatory standards.

An alumna of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prachi combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of business analytics and process improvement. Her elevation to a leadership role at HSBC reflects not only her dedication and professional excellence but also her growing influence in India’s banking and risk management landscape.
