Vikas Kumar has been appointed as Assistant Vice President – Technology (Digital Product & Delivery) at Kotak Life, Mumbai. In this strategic leadership role, Vikas will be responsible for driving digital product innovation, end-to-end technology delivery, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization’s insurance business. His focus will include enhancing customer experience through data-driven technology solutions, agile implementation, and innovation in digital insurance platforms.
Vikas brings over 12 years of experience in digital transformation, project management, and technology leadership across the BFSI and IT sectors. Prior to joining Kotak Life, he served as Senior Product Manager at Virtusa, where he led digital strategy and delivery for global clients, managing complex technology initiatives through agile and waterfall methodologies. He also worked with ScalaCode as Technical Project Manager, handling international projects across diverse industries, and as a Project Manager at Freelancer.com, managing global clients and ensuring project excellence across web, app, and QA domains.
Earlier in his career, Vikas held roles at Explosionweb Solutions as Manager – Project Management, and at Sumeru Inc as a Web Application Developer, where he honed his technical expertise in MVC frameworks, SQL, and JavaScript-based systems. He began his professional journey as a Project Intern at NTPC Limited, where he worked on IT network management and infrastructure optimization.
At Kotak Life, Vikas will lead the digital technology roadmap, focusing on innovation, automation, and customer-centric solutions to strengthen the organization’s technological foundation and drive its next phase of digital growth.
