Prasanna Kumar has been appointed as Deputy President & Regional Head at Aon, based in Mumbai. In this leadership role, he will spearhead the growth of the commercial risk business in South India, enhance client support across all lines, and drive the expansion of Aon’s Surety Solutions to strengthen market presence.
Prasanna Kumar previously served as Deputy President & Co-Head of the Financial Services and Professions Group at Aon, where he successfully led high-performing teams overseeing financial lines, cyber, intellectual property, casualty, and specie risks. His leadership was instrumental in delivering superior client outcomes, driving profitability, and implementing innovative solutions across the business.
Earlier, Prasanna Kumar held senior roles at Aon including Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Financial Services and Professions Group, and Vice President positions where he strategized and grew P&L across multiple verticals such as casualty, sports, media & entertainment, and digital assets. His journey also includes impactful stints at JLT Group as Associate Partner and Marsh, where he managed client partnerships and business development.
Starting his career with Nielsen as a research trainee and later gaining experience at Smitten, Prasanna Kumar built a strong foundation in market analysis, strategy, and client solutions. With over a decade of expertise in risk management and financial services, he is now set to further accelerate Aon’s growth and client-focused innovation across the region.
