Gaurav Shangari has been appointed as Director – Policy Communication & Outreach at the E-Gaming Federation (EGF). In this role, he will be leading strategic communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to strengthen the Federation’s policy influence and industry presence. Based out of New Delhi, Gaurav will play a pivotal role in building narratives around responsible gaming, public policy, and outreach strategies, driving EGF’s mission to shape the future of India’s gaming ecosystem.
Prior to joining EGF, Gaurav was with Avian WE, where he served as Group Business Director – Social Impact and earlier as Senior Account Director – Social Impact. During his tenure, he worked on high-impact communications strategies, managed public affairs mandates, and led initiatives that positioned organizations as thought leaders in their respective domains. His strong expertise in public relations, general management, and strategic media relations has helped him deliver measurable impact for both private and non-profit sectors.
Earlier, Gaurav was the Chief Marketing Officer at eVidyaloka Trust, where he spearheaded branding, digital fundraising, social media campaigns, and donor engagement strategies to scale the organization’s educational initiatives. He also led marketing and communications at ECHO India, overseeing multi-channel campaigns, partnerships, and media relations to enhance organizational visibility among funders, NGOs, and government stakeholders.
He began his career with Shriram Veritech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as Manager – Marketing & Corporate Communications, where he managed corporate brand-building, stakeholder communications, and strategic outreach initiatives. Over the years, Gaurav has built a strong track record in communication strategy, digital marketing, advocacy, and stakeholder management across diverse industries.
With his new appointment, Gaurav is set to bring his rich cross-sectoral experience to E-Gaming Federation, driving impactful outreach and strengthening the Federation’s role as a key voice in India’s gaming and policy landscape.
