Ruchika Sharma (LinkedIn) has been appointed as the Head of Consumer Marketing at Danone, effective September 2025. In her new role, she will lead brand and consumer marketing strategies, focusing on driving growth, strengthening consumer engagement, and expanding Danone’s presence in the health and nutrition space across India.

Prior to joining Danone, Ruchika worked at Reckitt as Senior Global Brand Manager for nearly five years, where she was responsible for developing and executing global brand strategies, driving market penetration, and shaping consumer health initiatives. She also played a key role in leading cross-market campaigns, enhancing category growth, and managing brand equity in highly competitive sectors.

Her career journey further includes senior brand leadership roles at Abbott, where she managed consumer health brands, and at Mars, where she oversaw international brand operations. Before that, she held strategic brand and marketing roles at Whirlpool Corporation, where she contributed to product innovation, go-to-market execution, and market share growth across multiple categories.

Earlier in her career, Ruchika gained valuable experience at 3M in modern trade sales and marketing, as well as in product management, managing the Scotch-Brite portfolio. She began her professional journey after completing her MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), with early stints at Reckitt Benckiser as an intern and Central Scientific Instruments Organisation as a trainee.

With over 13 years of experience across FMCG, healthcare, consumer durables, and nutrition sectors, Ruchika brings deep expertise in brand building, product innovation, and consumer marketing. Her appointment reflects Danone’s commitment to strengthening its consumer-first strategy and driving sustainable growth in the Indian market.
