Vishal Patil (LinkedIn) has joined Gunnebo as Deputy General Manager – Logistics and Demand Planning. Based in Thane, Maharashtra, he will be leading logistics optimization, demand planning, and supply chain efficiency initiatives for the company’s India operations. His appointment strengthens Gunnebo’s commitment to operational excellence and customer-centric solutions in the security and infrastructure sector.
Before joining Gunnebo, Patil served as Head of Department at IFB Industries Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in both logistics and planning. He implemented Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies that improved forecast accuracy, optimized inventory levels, and introduced digital tools to reduce stock-outs. In logistics, he successfully led pan-India operations, reducing freight costs and improving service levels with advanced warehouse and transport management systems.
Patil’s earlier career was shaped during his nine-year tenure at Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Rising to the position of Manager, he spearheaded finished vehicle distribution to more than 3,000 dealers across India, achieving a 98% on-time delivery rate. His contributions included multimodal transport strategies, GPS-enabled vehicle tracking, and greenfield infrastructure projects like a 25,000-car capacity stockyard in Gujarat. These initiatives not only improved operational efficiency but also significantly reduced environmental impact.
He began his professional journey with Utility Powertech Limited and later honed his expertise in distribution, process implementation, and driver safety programs at Maruti Suzuki. His career also includes hands-on exposure through an internship at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Vizag Steel Plant, where he developed a strong foundation in industrial operations. Each role has reinforced his ability to blend planning precision with execution excellence.
At Gunnebo, Patil’s focus will be on strengthening logistics efficiency, streamlining demand planning frameworks, and driving cost optimization strategies while ensuring reliability in customer deliveries. His extensive experience across manufacturing, consumer durables, and automotive logistics positions him as a valuable leader for Gunnebo’s growth in India.
